The City of Jasper is taking part in the Strongest Town Contest and they’ve made it to the final four.
This is the 7th year for the contest which seeks to recognize communities working hard to put in place processes, systems, and commitments that build enduring resilience and long-term prosperity.
The cities were nominated in January and more than 5,300 votes have been tallied across several communities as of Friday.
Jasper is up against Yellow Springs, Ohio. The other matchup pits Norwood, Ohio against Durango, Colorado.
The next phase of the contest will involve representatives from each town taking part in a podcast interview on strongtowns.org.
The winner of the contest will be announced on April 8th.
