A man faces charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle from the Chuckles Gas Station in Washington.
Last night, officers with Washington Police Department received a report of a vehicle being stolen from the Chuckles Gas Station on Highway 57 and East Walnut.
They say a short time later, a detective with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle traveling southbound on Edwardsport Road.
Sheriff’s Deputies and Washington Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested 27-year-old Kyle E. Kalaher of Thompsonville, IL without incident.
He was booked into the Daviess County Security Center and is charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Mischief.
Police remind area residents to lock your vehicle if leaving it unattended.
