It took 14 fire trucks, 60 people, and 80,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire in Edwardsport early Wednesday morning.
The call originally came in around 9:00 pm Tuesday which was met with a response from half of a dozen fire departments.
Witnesses say they heard explosions and that the fire spanned 14 structures.
The fire was at the old lumber yard on 1st Street which is now a salvage yard. Fire officials say it took about 5 hours to extinguish the flames.
