Evansville Man Facing Multiple Charges Following Police Chase

Indiana State Police says an Evansville man led police on a high-speed chase Friday night.
Late Friday night, 50-year-old Chadrick Royal drove a stolen Ford Explorer to a Casey’s gas station in Mt. Vernon.
A trooper tried to stop Royal in the parking lot, but Royal drove across the parking lot, and then sped off down 4th Street.
After making many twists and turns, Royal found himself at a dead end.
He got out of the car and ran into a creek.
The police trooper ultimately found him lying on one side of the creek.
Royal is currently sitting in Posey County Jail.
He is charged with Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Auto Theft, Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated, and Reckless Driving.
He was also found to have felony warrants out of Daviess and Knox County.
