Leroy Heller

Leroy D. “Old Timer” Heller, 84, of Evansville, IN formerly of Washington, IN, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Linda White Hospice House, Evansville, IN.
Leroy was born July 6, 1937 in Milan, Indiana to the late Arthur Givan and Gladys Agatha (Borror) Heller. He graduated from Moores High School in 1955. Leroy is a veteran of the United States Army National Guard from 1958-1963. He attended Mortuary School in Indianapolis and worked in Versailles, IN for a while. He began a career as a self-employed field representative selling school supplies and Amish made food products. He also spent many years as a substitute bus driver in Daviess and Pike Counties. Leroy was a 50+ year member of the Glendale Masonic Lodge #461.
Leroy married Annette Susan Mary (Binne) Heller on September 13, 1957, she preceded him in death in 1983. He was married to Jane (Vogel) Heller November 22, 1992.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jane (Vogel) Heller, his children, Charles (Judy) Heller, Kevin (Carrie) Heller, Leanne (Kevin) Purdy, and Susie (Les) Graber, brother, Arthur “Bill” Heller, sister, Lois Pohle, 15 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Leroy is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Harvest Community Fellowship Church, 200 W Main St, Washington, Indiana. Burial will be in Bethany Christian Church Cemetery in Montgomery, Indiana.
Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Harvest Community Fellowship Church, 200 W Main St, Washington, Indiana.
