Daviess County Treasurer Jamie Chapman has announced that all tax statements for 2021 pay 2022 were mailed on April 1.
The first installment of taxes will be due by Tuesday, May 10. Anyone who has not received their statements should call the treasurer’s office at (812)-254-8677 as soon as possible.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. The office will be open Saturday, May 7, from 8:00 am to noon.
Credit card payments can be made through www.govtechtaxpro.com or by calling (844)-678-1656; such payments can also be made in the office. The credit card company does charge a user fee on all credit card transactions. The treasurer receives only the tax amount. Please remember to bring your tax statement with you.
Taxpayers are reminded to bring payments to the second floor, Suite 214, at the Government Center located at 300 E. Hefron Street.
Those paying by mail should enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope if they wish to receive a receipt back. Taxpayers are urged to mail early because some mail deposited late on May 10 might not be postmarked until the next day.
