Sullivan Man Seriously Injured Following Motorcycle Crash

A motorcycle accident in Sullivan County has left a man seriously injured.
On Saturday, at around 3:13 pm, Sullivan County Deputies were dispatched to County Road 350 South, just west of State Road 154 for a motorcycle vs deer accident.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that a male was riding west on 350 South, when a deer ran out in front of him.
The motorcycle struck the deer, killing the animal instantly.
The impact also caused the driver to lose control of the motorcycle, and the bike to slid approximately 110 yards before coming to a rest in a ditch.
The driver was identified as 57-year-old Kip Sheffler of Sullivan.
He was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital with serious head injuries.
