Vincennes Lincoln baseball shut down Washington at the Sports Complex last night in six innings 15-4. The Hatchets fall to 5-6 on the season. The Hatchets face Boonville at home this afternoon.
Barr Reeve shut out Vincennes Rivet 12-0 to go to 5-1 on the season. Barr Reeve Baseball and Softball teams take on NE Dubois today.

The Indiana Hoosiers’ are adding a prominent big man. Malik Reneau, a five star forward, made the announcement to join Mike Woodson’s squad on Monday. He was originally committed to Florida until he announced his decision not to be a Gator in March. He joins his former Montverde Academy Jalen Hood-Schifino, who is an Indiana signee. Reneau, a six foot eight power forward, gives Mike Woodson a top five recruiting class for 2022. Woodson’s squad is looking to revamp after losing two starters, Xavier Johnson and Rob Phinisee, and the decision by star Trayce Jackson-Davis to enter the NBA Draft.
Friends of the late Bob Jenkins are looking to honor him. Friends of the longtime Indy 500 radio announcer are hoping to raise funds to create a mural to honor the late broadcaster in his hometown of Liberty, IN. According to the IndyStar, Union County Development Corporation director Melissa Browning says, “His cherished community would like to create this heartfelt tribute to a humble man that truly believed ‘he was a race fan that just got lucky”. Browning and others started a GoFundMe page to help raise the funds for the project. So far they have raised seven thousand of the hopeful thirty two thousand. Pamela Bliss, the creator of the Reggie Miller Mural in downtown Indianapolis, has been assigned the duty to design the mural. Jenkins passed away last August after a battle with Brain Cancer at 73 years old. He was inducted into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame in 2019. He spent forty years as the voice of the 500.
