Hatchet girls tennis scored another shut-out by beating Evansville Christian 5-0. The Lady Hatchets go to 11-1 and will play at Tell City tomorrow.

Nolan Arenado drove in three, and the St. Louis Cardinals doubled up the New York Mets 10-5 to avoid a three-game sweep. The Cards fell behind 4-1 early, but scored two in the third, and took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. Arenado was later ejected after being nearly hit in the head by a pitch. He yelled at the pitcher to “do it again,” and a benches clearing brawl ensued. The San Diego Padres beat the Cincinnati Reds 8-5 at Great American Ball Park. Jurickson Profar hit a 3-run homer, and MacKenzie Gore struck out 10 over five innings for San Diego, which will go for a three-game sweep Thursday. Patrick Wisdom homered in the 10th inning and the Chicago Cubs beat the Braves 6-3 in Atlanta. Wisdom’s two-run shot followed a go-ahead double by Willson Contreras, as the Cubs plated three in the top of the 10th.
