Calvin J. Beasley, 94, of Odon, Indiana, passed away, on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Bloomington, Indiana. He was born on May 12, 1927 in Odon to Harley H. and Alice (Smith) Beasley. Calvin married his loving wife of 70 years, Betty (Stuffle) Beasley on July 14, 1951.
Calvin was a US Navy Veteran, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Frady Memorial United Methodist Church and the Odon Masonic Lodge. Calvin farmed and worked at Crane for 20 years as an Ordinance Inspector before retiring in 1984. He enjoyed woodworking and especially spending time with his family.
Family left to cherish the memory of Calvin include: his wife, Betty Beasley; one daughter, Judy (Ken) Fuller of Raglesville; one son, Mike Beasley of Loogootee; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one brother, Ronnie (Diane) Beasley of Odon.
Calvin was preceded in death by: his parents; one son, Steve Beasley; brothers, Gary Beasley, John Beasley, Wallace Beasley and John Edwin Beasley; sisters, Camilla Overton, Irene Sims, Gertrude Kemp, Ava Gee and Geraldine Harris.
Funeral services are at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Frady Memorial United Methodist Church at Raglesville with Dr. John Hundley officiating. Calvin will be laid to rest in Raglesville Cemetery following military graveside rites by the Odon VFW Post #9627.
Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Raglesville Cemetery or to Frady Memorial United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
