Denny J. Long, 57, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on April 24, 2022, at his residence in Washington.
He was born on September 13, 1964, at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana, to Bill Long and Diane Kay (Chastain) Long.
Denny was a 1982 graduate of North Daviess High School. He worked in maintenance at AES Indiana (formerly known as IPL Energy) for 36-37 years. Denny attended the Wheatland Christian Church in Wheatland, Indiana, and enjoyed being involved with the church. In his spare time, Denny enjoyed messing around the house and tinkering in his garage. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his children and his two grandchildren, Cash and Rozlynn.
Surviving is his mother, Diane Kay (Chastain) Long, his daughter, Ashley (Long) Sims (Alan) of Washington, Indiana, his two grandchildren, Cash and Rozlynn, his son, Tyler Long (Ashley Gilmore) of Evansville, Indiana, his sister, Cindy Halter (Rich), his brother, Bill Dwayne Long, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Long.
Visitation for Denny will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St., Washington, Indiana 47501. A memorial service will begin immediately after, starting at 2:00pm with Pastor Brent Cramer officiating.
