Joseph Albert Stangle Jr. 79, of Vincennes went to his heavenly home on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Joseph was born in St. Francisville, IL on April 16, 1943 to the late Joseph Albert Stangle Sr. And Christine Doane Stangle. He married Janet Stangle on May 2, 1980 in Francisville, IL.
Joseph was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, the 40 et 8, and the American Legion. In his spare time he enjoyed making rosaries, singing with the Sacred Heart Choir members who went to local nursing homes; he very much liked to bring joy to others. He was a member of the United States Air Force and was employed as an electrician for Texaco and several other companies.
He is survived by; his loving wife, Janet Stangle; children, Jeri Ann Stangle of Bridgepoint, IL Kimberly Huerta (Gilberto) of Maryland, Tammy Tweedy (Rual) of Vincennes, Teresa Otten (Tony) of Vincennes, Timothy Stangle (Lora) of Vincennes, and Todd Stangle; ten grandchildren; siblings, John Stangle of Olney,IL, Lynn Stangle of Billett, IL, Cheryl Knackums (Jack) of West Salem,IL Carol Storckman (Danny) of Princeton, and Ellen Yockey of Lawrenceville, IL.
He was preceded in death by; parents; and a brother, August Stangle.
There will be a Mass Of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2004 N. 2nd ST. Vincennes, IN 47591 with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
