Our Community Foundation has awarded another grant to a local organization.
The Foundation has awarded a grant to the OneTime Hunt Club for an upcoming Wounded Warrior Turkey Hunt.
Jay R. Crew with the club says the grant will be used to help host a weekend turkey hunt for 20 wounded Veterans.
The event will be held in Daviess County this month during the wild turkey hunting season.
Executive Director of the Foundation, Mary Smith, says the grant was made possible by generous donors who support Our Community Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking.
Smith says discretionary grant making is grantmaking at the discretion of Our Community Foundation’s Board and includes grants for projects and programs that address changing needs in Daviess County.
