Chase Elliott took the lead on the final restart with 53 to go, and drove to the win in the NASCAR Cup Series at Dover Motor Speedway. Elliott and Ross Chastain battled for the lead with 60 laps to go, and Chastain was narrowly in front when the final caution came out. The two restarted side-by-side, but Elliott pulled away and led the rest of the way at the 1-mile concrete oval. It was the first win of the season for the 2020 series champion, and snapped a 26-race winless streak. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finished second, followed by Chastain, Christopher Bell, and Alex Bowman. The race was postponed to Monday after rain paused the race after 78 laps Sunday. The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Darlington Raceway for the annual “Throwback Weekend.”
