Governor Holcomb Opposed to Suspending Gas Tax

Governor Holcomb is calling it “Inflationary relief”.
Holcomb said Wednesday that he is not going to back calls for the state to suspend gas taxes in order to help ease the pain Hoosiers are feeling at the pump.
He says he has a plan.
Details are sparse on that plan, but it would likely involve dipping into the state’s cash reserves, which are projected to be at a record $6 billion by the end of June.
Holcomb said he expects to roll out more details on the plan next month.
It’s not clear if it involves calling lawmakers into a special session.
