Busy Weekend at Red Skelton Festival in Vincennes

The 17th Annual Red Skelton Festival was held over the weekend in Vincennes.
The event happens each year at the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy on the Vincennes University Campus.
The first event kicked off Friday at the Pantheon on Main Street where event organizers unveiled a bronze statue of Red Skelton. The statue was placed in the location where he sold newspapers as a young boy before becoming a movie star and comedy legend.
Activities continued Saturday with kids’ games, bounce houses, food, and other vendors at Patrick Henry Square.
The event also featured the annual downtown parade, a feature film, and concluded with the Brain Hoffman Tribute Show.
