Our Community Foundation is inviting the public to celebrate the foundation and give during their inaugural event, called Independence Days of Giving.
The campaign runs today through July 6th and highlights the Foundation’s resources, which are funded through charitable individuals and corporate donations.
Some of the resources include the foundation’s grant opportunities, community leadership activities, education efforts, and more.
Our Community Foundation Board President Joe Singleton says, the Independence Days of Giving are about giving back to Daviess County and helping people know that their individual contributions to the Foundation, regardless of the amount, make a difference.
To help meet donation goals, the Foundation is asking people to make a donation online via the Foundation’s website at localforever.org or mail a donation to Our Community Foundation at PO Box 84 in Washington.
Gifts may be made in memory of or in honor of a friend or loved one and tribute notifications will be mailed as donors specify.
