One of the housing projects currently in the works in Washington, has begun construction.
Executives of Simplified Developments LLC were on hand yesterday with local elected officials, business executives, and economic development professionals to celebrate the beginning of the first phase of construction.
The two-phase $14.5 million project will open 143 new market-rate apartment units and amenities to the east side of Washington.

The Cypress Point housing project will include six apartment buildings with 24 units per building offering 1,000-1,200 sq. ft. apartments in 1–3-bedroom configurations.
The Washington Redevelopment Commission and City Council approved the key elements of TIF-funded infrastructure support and a tax abatement.
