Mildred (Millie) M. Potts, 77, of Washington, Indiana, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at her residence.
She was born on May 22, 1945, to the late James Porter Hunt and Flossie Chattin Hunt in Loogootee, Indiana.
Mildred attended Loogootee High School and later on, she continued her education at Vincennes University. On July 27, 1968, she married the love of her life, Leslie Potts, and they spent over fifty-three years happily married. Together, they had two children, Brian and Kim.
Mildred was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Washington, Indiana. In her spare time, she liked to manage her fantasy football league and she was proud to be a defending champion of the league. She loved to spend time with her family, and especially her grandchildren any chance she had.
Surviving is her husband, Leslie, of Washington, Indiana; her children, Brian Potts of Loogootee, Indiana and Kim Van Lue (Dustin) of Bloomington, Indiana; her grandchildren, Lindsay Potts, Brittany Potts, Dawson Potts, Samuel Van Lue, Benjamin Van Lue, and Ally Potts; her sister, Delphia Street, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Flossie; her sister, Lillian Bruner; and her brothers, Robert and Vernon Hunt.
Visitation for Mildred will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St., Washington, Indiana 47501, from 4:00 – 7:00pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 10:00am at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Reeve Township Cemetery in Cannelburg, Indiana 47519. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
