Lawrence “Ike” Wilson, 67, of Washington went to heaven to be with his beloved wife Donna on Sunday, July 3, 2022.
Ike was born in Washington, IN on September 19, 1954 to the late Donald “Don” Wilson and Margaret “Peggy” Wilson. Ike married his wife, Donna Rayman on July 21, 1973 in Washington, Indiana and they spent many wonderful years together.
Ike will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a very outgoing man, and loved spending time on the river. In his younger years he spent many summers coaching and volunteering along side his wife for the Washington Little League. Ike played a lot of slow pitch softball with his buddies from the Davis Trucking team. Two of Ike’s favorite things to do were fishing on the White River and spending time at his family’s river cabin.
Ike retired from The City of Washington after forty-plus years; he was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Ike was such a devoted member of the Eagles that he was inducted into the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Hall of Fame in 2019.
Those left to mourn the loss of Ike are; his three loving children, Chris Wilson (Davida), Amy Sandullo (Angelo), Misty Wanke (Robert Jr.); grandchildren, Kaleb Wilson, J.D. Wilson, Bryce Wilson, Lawren Sandullo, Nicholas Sandullo, Sydney Sandullo, and Trinity Wanke; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Rodger Wilson (Tracy) and many nieces and nephews.
Ike was preceded in death by; his wife, Donna Wilson; his parents; and two sisters, Kathy Wilson and Donna Rayman.
Services will be held at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
