Jasper Police were dispatched to an accident on Newton Street a little after 2:00 pm yesterday.
A Ford Escape was stopped and was facing east of the McAlister’s parking lot.
Police say the driver failed to yield the right of way and crashed into a 2008 Dodge Ram.
The truck was declared a total loss and the driver of the Escape was cited.
No injuries were reported.
