Clarence Joseph “Joe” Martin

Clarence Joseph “Joe” Martin, 75, of Lynn Haven, FL, passed away on May 19, 2022 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, FL.
He was born on October 14, 1946 to James F and Hallie (Boyd) Martin in Washington, IN.
He graduated from Washington High School in 1964, married in 1966, and had three daughters, Michelle, Annette, and Lisa.
He married Verna Retherford in 2017.
He was a truck driver who retired from the Teamsters and then continued to drive for several more years and officially retired in 2017.
He was a devoted family man, and his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He could usually be found working in his yard, talking to friends or family on the phone, or buying lottery tickets. He enjoyed telling the tales of his adventures of his driving career, which included his One Million Mile No Accident Award.
Joe is survived by his wife Verna, daughters Michelle Hunter (Ronnie), Annette Snyder (Jason), and Lisa Blalock (Leon). He has seven grandchildren Zac Mattingly (Cassie), Nicole Hunter-Williams, Colton Hunter, Emily Rauch, AJ Snyder, Sam Snyder, and Max Snyder and five great-grandchildren, Aiden Hunter, Jada Williams, Jazlyn Williams, Mariella Mattingly and Jozie Mattingly. He is also survived by his brother Jim Martin (Eva) and sister Donna Leighty (Gayle).
He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Hallie Martin and his twin brother Cletus Jay Martin.
Graveside service will be August 6, 2022 at 10:00 am at New Veale Creek Cemetery in Washington, Indiana. A Celebration of Life is to follow at Antioch Church.
