Dr. Temple Grandin To Speak At WHS

The Daviess Martin Special Education Coop and the Indiana Resource Center have partnered to bring a special program to WHS.
Dr. Temple Grandin is professor of animal sciences and renowned animal behaviorist and autism activist.
She will be hosting two programs at Washington High School on August 2nd. Dr. Grandin, who is on the autism spectrum herself, has received several awards throughout her life and has appeared on numerous national TV programs.
In addition, she is an author and was the subject of 2010 biopic. Mary Rodimel says this will be a great program for Washington as there will be a program for those involved with FFA and a program for those involved with special education.
The afternoon event is free for area school personnel, early childhood educators, adult providers, or others involved in supporting someone on the autism spectrum.
