The Washington city council approved several economic development resolutions and passed an ordinance establishing a Washington Economic Development Fund at Monday night’s meeting.
This set the framework for a third housing development on Washington’s east side. The development will be on a 10-acre tract on Business 50 just west of the roundabout and across the road from the new True RX building.
The development will contain approximately 70 housing units and will include both single-family residences and condominiums.
After the meeting, Mayor Rhoads discussed the projected price of the development…
The mayor also talked about how much the units will cost those interested once they are completed…
In other business, the Council adopted ordinances annexing the Buffalo Trace Subdivision and the new solar park located on CR 150 N and CR 300 W.
IMPA representative Chris Anders told the council when the new solar park will produce enough power to take care of 1800 Washington area homes once operational.
