Myron Joseph Slaubaugh, 67, of Loogootee, passed away peacefully at 2:40 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2022 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born March 1, 1955 in Washington, Indiana to the late Aaron and Leona (Litwiller) Slaubaugh. Myron married Charlotte Wagler on June 24, 1978 and she survives.
Myron was a member of the Berea Mennonite Church and attended the Loogootee United Methodist Church. He was a carpenter for 51 years and worked for various companies. Myron was an avid fisherman and mushroom hunter. He was a devoted father and PopPop. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Leona (Litwiller) Slaubaugh.
Myron is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Loogootee; children, Myrna Greene of Loogootee, Angela Slaubaugh (Steve Marks, of Henderson, Kentucky, Roland (Ami) Slaubaugh of Loogootee and Curtis Slaubaugh of West Lafayette; grandchildren, Michael, Timothy and Lacey Wilson, Sterling Marks, Abigail Slaubaugh, Aubrie Colburn and Leland Slaubaugh; siblings, Anna (Dave) Hochstetler of Wisconsin, Jean (Tony) Evans of Mitchell, Carolyn (Gerardo) Mojica of Merrillville, Sharon (Herb) Slaubaugh of Freedom and John (Mary Lou) Slaubaugh of Loogootee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Berea Mennonite Church and Friday, August 19, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to the time of service at the church.
