A 15-year-old girl has been found safe after being missing for the past 31 days.
On July 21st, Kendall King was reported missing by her family to the Santa Claus Police Department. It took a team a month of searching and investigating to locate her. Alongside Santa Claus PD, the U.S. Marshals and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children joined in on the search for King.
They discovered information that pointed out that King left Indiana all the way to an apartment in Jacksonville, Florida, where she was eventually found on Sunday.
It’s not clear why she was down there or if the two residents of that apartment, a man and a woman, had any involvement with her disappearance.
But now King is safe in the hands of Florida authorities at the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice’s Juvenile Assessment Center. Jacksonville police are investigating the two residents of the apartment King was staying in.
