E.coli Outbreak

The E. coli outbreak in the Midwest has now infected 84 people.
The CDC said Thursday that 47 more people have gotten sick from the bacteria, and that most of the victims they interviewed said they ate a sandwich with romaine lettuce at a Wendy’s restaurant a week before getting sick.
Wendy’s told Reuters that it’s fully cooperating with public health authorities and has discarded their sandwich lettuce at restaurants in the affected regions.
The CDC says it has yet to confirm the exact cause of the outbreak.
Nearly 40 people have been hospitalized across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania for E. coli poisoning.
