Mrs. Andrea Strawn leads a committee that includes Martin County Commissioner Aaron Summers, County Councilman Adam Greene, Martin Human Resource Director Kristine Skees, Loogootee Mayor Noel Harty, Mayors Intern Shane Sanders, and Loogootee Resident Don Greene.
The group’s mission is to help fund an ambulance service for Martin County.
While there are some funds available locally for an ambulance service, the funds allocated just are not enough.
The group is hoping more will join them in the near future to start planning fundraisers.
The Martin County Youth Council is considering the need as one of their primary focuses in the school year to come.
