Washington Community Schools have announced they will be implementing a Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program for the incoming kindergarten class in the fall of 2023. Dual immersion education integrates an equal number of native English- and native Spanish-speaking students in the same classroom. Students will be able to learn in both English and Spanish while mastering grade-level knowledge and skills in all elementary content areas. Once again, this will be optional for parents beginning next school year with incoming kindergarten students. There will be an informative meeting for parents on Monday, January 30th to learn more and to sign up for the new program.
