Mark E. Williams, 66, passed away at his Washington residence during the morning hours of December 3, 2022. He was born in Munich, Germany, October 19, 1956, to James Leo and Mildred I. (Fitch) Russell. On March 15, 1986, he married Brenda (Haynes) Williams and she survives.
Mark served his country honorably in the United States Army and the National Guard. He was retired from the Daviess County Highway Department where he was a truck driver. Mark enjoyed helping people and loved to go fishing. A devoted family man, he was happiest when he was spending time with his grandchildren.
Those who now mourn Mark’s passing include his wife, Brenda (Haynes) Williams; his children: Joseph R. Williams, Robin M. Williams, and Sarah B. Williams, all of Washington. Mark was blessed with four grandchildren: Hannah L. Evans, Asher D. Fields, Mason L. Williams and Allison Garcia. Additionally, he leaves a sister, Jamie S. Russell, and two brothers, Lonnie and Jonnie Williams.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nancy Williams and Gloria J. Bailey; and brother, Ronnie Pembleton.
Visitation for Mark E. Williams will be held 4:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Mark E. Williams will commence immediately following the visitation on Thursday, December 8, 2020, beginning at 7:00 pm, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. The Washington American Legion and VFW will accord Mark E. Williams military honors at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Interment will be at a later date.
