#4 in the nation Indiana Womens Basketball faced Big10 rival Penn State last night and came away with a 67-58 win. Leaders for the Hoosiers were Mckenzie Holmes with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Chloe Moore-Mcneil tallied 7 assists. Hoosiers now 10 and 0 on the season.
The WJHS 7th grade boys basketball team improved to 8-2 on the season with a 52-33 win over Forest Park. Kayden Gross paced the Hatchets with 18 points followed by Darian Turner with 14, Carter Browning 11, Jackson Howell 5, Jake Johnson and Zach Frady with 2 each.
The WJHS boys 8th grade basketball team fell to 5-2 with a 42-30 loss to Forest Park. Levi Burkemper scored 12 points for the Hatchets. Aiden Boyd and Brody Armes each had 7 and Caleb Bouchie 4.
Both 7th and 8th return to action Monday night against Fort Branch.
The Barr-Reeve 6th grade girls beat Princeton tonight 31-9 to move to 5-2 on the season. Joslyn Knepp led Barr-Reeve in scoring with 12 points followed by Avery Wittmer with 9, Brielle Knepp with 4, and Molly Jo Anderson, Nyah Knepp, and Aniston Gish all with 2 each.
The Washington Hatchet 6th grade boys improved to 2-2 Wednesday night with a win over Vincennes 33-24. Dylan Stowers led the Hatchets with 11 points. Hunter Newland and Kayl Kimmel each scored 9 followed by Drew Clawson with 4.
The Barr Reeve Lady Vikings 7th grade dropped a close game to North Knox on Tuesday 16-17. Shay Knepp led the Vikings with 6 pts. 7th Grade record now 1-4 on the season. While the Lady Vikings 8th grade lost to North Knox 16-26. Paighton Parson led the way with 8 pts. 8th grade record is now at 3-3.
