Kathleen A. “Kathy” Erny, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born May 7, 1949, in Vincennes, Indiana to Charles and (Norma) Cooper.
Kathy was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She loved to travel as Bud and her went to all 50 states completing one of many things on her bucket list and enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with her family. Kathy loved watching her grandchildren grow up and attending their sporting and academic events.
Surviving are her husband Bud Erny whom she married October 30, 1970; her daughters Caren Wild and her husband Jeremy of Vincennes, and Lisa Fisher and her husband Tad of Vincennes; her brothers Ted and Glen Cooper of Vincennes; along with her grandchildren whom she was their biggest fan, Ann Graber and her husband Adam, Renae Wild, Logan Fisher, and Nathan Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Danny Cooper; and her father and mother in-law Aloysius “Woody” and Tenny Erny.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Tuesday, December 20, 2022, At Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, with Rev. Tony Ernst officiating with burial to follow in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley’s Children Hospital or St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with Kathy’s arrangements.
