David R. Stone, 78, of Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
Born July 22, 1944, in Huron, Indiana, he was the son of Russell and Helen (Terrell) Stone.
He married Wanda McDaniel on November 3, 1962, and she survives.
David attended Shoals High School. He retired from National Gypsum after 33 years, and later drove a tri-axle truck.
David loved NASCAR racing and watching YouTube videos.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda; children, Rhonda (Tom) Isaacs, David Stone Jr., Christy Stone, and Mark Stone; grandchildren, James (Ashley) Peek, Russell Peek, Brian Conley, Kayla Conley, and Cody Stone; great-grandchildren, Ava, Braelynn, Harmony, Leo, Marley, Aurora, and Shanasy; brother, Tony (Sharon) Stone; brother-in-law, Karlas (Sandy) Spears; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Stone; grandson, Ryan Baker; 5 brothers; and 5 sisters.
David was laid to rest in a private family burial at Spring Hill Cemetery.
