Lorrayne D. Perry, 97, of Petersburg, passed away surrounded by her family on January 9, 2023 in Jasper, IN. She was born July 20, 1925 to William and Sally (Selby) Wheatley in Washington, IN. She attended and graduated from Monroe City High School and worked for 25 years for Tri Cap in Petersburg. She faithfully attended the Petersburg Free Methodist Church.
Lorrayne is survived by her sons, Dennis (Phyllis) Whitehead and Neil (Laura) Whitehead; daughters, Marcia Gideon, Oraletta (David) Earles, and Kim (Chris) Catt; 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 21 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1994, Oral Whitehead; second husband in 2005, Vance Perry; her parents; son, Larry Whitehead; and her daughter, Nelda Davis.
Services for Lorrayne will take place at 2 PM EST on Friday, January 13, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 11 AM EST until service time. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
