Violet Dolores Cannon age 101, of Pittsboro, Indiana passed on January 13, 2023, at her residence. She was born August 8, 1921, in Huron, to Thomas and Pearl (Pearson) Pridemore. She married Donald Cannon in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1960.
Violet attended school in Huron, was a member of the Shoals United Methodist and retired from NWSC Crane. Her family was her life, and they loved her for her love and care.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Linda) Cannon and Mike (Rita) Cannon; one daughter, Sandra (David Harmon) Cannon; one son-in-law, Donald Sparks; grandchildren, Audra (Jason) Pierce, Tyler (Hannah) Sparks, Brian (Courtney) Sparks; great grandchildren, Dane, Clair, Carter, Levi, Nolan, Lexi; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, one daughter Linda Sparks; and siblings, Linza, Lucille, Ernest, Glen, Alleen, Homer and Lou.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with Pastor David Conley officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Union Cemetery.
