A man who was being arrested by Evansville police ended up biting one of the officers he was fighting over the weekend. The cops were sent to a medical emergency. The police found Caleb Berfanger, who was overdosing on heroin and methamphetamine. He was unconscious but breathing when paramedics arrived to begin treating Berfanger. Once he came to, though, he became combative and ended up biting one of the officers who was trying to subdue him. The cops got him in cuffs and arrested him. He’s now in jail for battery against an officer and drug charges.
