Raymond Eugene Quinn, 81, a longtime Martinsville resident, passed from his earthly life on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis. Ray was born Aug. 21, 1941, in Washington, Indiana, to the late Forrest and Mildred (Palmer) Quinn.
He was a graduate of Washington High School and attended a year of college, studying computer programming.
Ray, as known by many, was a successful business owner through the years, owning and operating many businesses including Gatti’s Pizza in Martinsville for 40 years, formerly owning Quinn’s Salvage, a travel business, a bowling alley in Lafayette and a car wash, to mention a few.
He loved time with his grandchildren and his grand fur babies. He was a workaholic but in his free time he enjoyed traveling to casinos and playing blackjack.
He leaves behind a host of loving family including his wife, Mary “Paulette” (Sellers) Quinn of Martinsville, whom he married Sept. 2, 1961; daughters Brie Williams and husband Bill of Liberty Township, Ohio, and Laura Arick and husband Bruce of Carmel, Indiana; grandchildren Davis (wife Audrey), Erin, and Claire Arick; as well as many dedicated employees and many friends.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carl and Robert Quinn.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Neal and Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. A private burial will follow the visitation. He will be laid to rest at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
