South Knox School Corporation Begins Search for New Superintendent Following Board’s Controversial Decision to Accept Separation Agreement with Current Superintendent

The South Knox School Corporation will be on the search for a new superintendent. At a special meeting in front of a big crowd, the board voted 4-1 to accept a separation agreement between the school and current superintendent Tim Grove. Grove has served with the corporation for 11 years now. Under the agreement, Grove will continue to serve the rest of this year, and then the board will buy out the remainder of his contract at $125 thousand dollars. Board member Bunny Houchin was the lone vote against the decision.  Teachers, parents, and taxpayers at the meeting were vocally opposed to this decision. In a statement, Grove said he will miss working with the teachers and staff at South Knox.
