Emergency responders were called to the scene of an accident yesterday evening. At 5:52 pm, dispatch received a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road and into a ditch at 15955 N US Highway 231 in Odon, IN. The driver was reported as being unconscious. Madison Fire units and Tri-County were dispatched to the scene. However, while still on the phone with the caller, it was reported that the driver, who appeared to be a female, was having a seizure. She was starting to come out of the seizure but was slurring her words. There was a hold on the vehicle for insurance and a valid driver. Tri-County arrived on the scene and took possession of the vehicle, and Deputy Tolliver returned to service after citing the driver for no financial responsibility and driving while suspended. The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
