At High Pointe Country Club in Bicknell the Loogootee Lions and the North Daviess Cougars went at it in a dual meet. The Lions win the match with a 163 and the Cougars fired a 194. 2 time regional qualifier, junior Connor Swartzentruber medaled with a 35 for Loogootee. Paxton Arvin followed with a 41 and Ryken Chandler was next with a 42. For the Cougs the were led by a trio of 48s by Lance Stoll, JD Moore and Bub Pershing.
The Washington Hatchet baseball squad travelled to Mt Vernon and came away with a big 11-4 win.
As you heard on the General the Barr Reeve Baseball Vikings picked up a win at home over Springs Valley by a score of 16-6. With 2 hits and strong defense Donnie Miller was named the Bill Dobson Ford Tough Player of the game.
The North Daviess 9 hosted Tecumseh and were defeated by the Braves 9 to 5.
In tennis the Loogootee Lions defeated Northest Dubois 4-1 on the road. Winner for the Lions was #1 singles Kieragen Napier, 2 singles Caitlin Carrico and the doubles teams of Ana Toy and Addy Lengacher as well as Abbey Fischer and Macy Knepp.

The Indiana Fever made it official and selected former National Player of the Year Aliyah Boston with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft. The fever also made many Hoosier fans happy selecting IU’s Grace Berger with the 7th pick.
College transfer portal circus lands IU a new and needed player. Kel’el Ware transfers from Oregon and the seven footer was a top-10 recruit in the 2022 signing class. Ware joins Ball State’s Payton Sparks a 6’9 lefthander who transferred to the Hoosiers last week.
