Daniel C. Morgan

Daniel C. Morgan, 81, of Washington, IN, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at his residence. He was born on July 28, 1941, in Washington, IN to the late Clyde Morgan and Ethel (Ledgerwood) Brothers.
Daniel was a jack of all trades. He loved to tinker around on anything mechanical, and to stay busy. He enjoyed fishing, being on his boat, and being a “river rat”. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the V.F.W, and the American Legion Post #121, all of Washington, IN. Daniel will be missed by all that knew him. The family would like to give a special thanks to Anna Freeman, Emily Query, Jackie Neeley, and Gayle Kirkpatrick for their care and help to the family.
Surviving Daniel is his wife, Kay Morgan of Washington, IN, his children, Daniel Morgan (Sheryl) of Bicknell, IN, Michael Morgan of Washington, IN, his step-children, Yolonda Taylor (Tom) of Washington, IN, Christina Meyer (Bernard) of Washington, IN, Samantha Austin of Washington, IN, Jonetta Sharum of Evansville, IN, his brother, Gerald Morgan, his grandchildren, Justin Morgan (Olivia), Jason Morgan, Josh Crowe, Brandon Crowe, Ryan Morgan, Tristan Morgan, Heather Morgan, his great-grandchildren, Aiden Morgan, and Braydon Crowe, his great-great-granddaughter, Journey Crowe, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ethel, his daughter, Lisa Shreves (Dave), his sisters, Barbara Truelove, Pam Foster, and Patty Trowbridge and his brother, Stephen Morgan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 11:00 – 1:00pm at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020, State St., Washington, IN 47501. Following visitation, a funeral service for Daniel will begin at 1:00pm. Daniels’ wishes were to be cremated, and after the service the burial of his cremated remains will take place at Mount Olive Cemetery in Montgomery, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
