Ruth Mills, 91, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at 10:28 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023 at The Villages of Oak Ridge.
She was born April 27, 1931 in Washington, Indiana to the late Floyd and Margaret Denson.
Ruth married Earl B. Mills on May 1, 1953 and he survives.
She enjoyed baking and playing cards. Ruth and Earl volunteered for many years at St. Vincent De Paul and managed the bingo at the VFW Post 9395. Ruth was a member at St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church, where she was part of the Altar Society.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Margaret Denson; siblings, Betty (Ernie) Collison and Charles Richard (Jan) Denson; brother-in-law, William Sum.
She is survived by her husband, Earl B. Mills of Loogootee; children, Peter (Bunny) Mills of West Brook, Maine, Andrew (Robin) Mills of Greenwood, Patrick Mills of Indianapolis, and Julie Mehrlich of Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Sum of West Lafayette, Indiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
