Philip Heymann, 59, of Washington, Indiana, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Bear Run Coal Mine.
He was born July 19, 1963 to Robert Heymann and Beverly (Chaffman) Heymann.
Phil married Sandy Wise on October 27, 1983 and she survives.
Phil was a 1981 graduate of Washington High School. He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 121. Phil owned and operated Sugar Ridge Apparel and Graphics. He worked for 38 years in the coal mining industry, primarily for Black Beauty Coal and Peabody Energy. Phil was currently employed by longtime friend and coworker, Shannon Wininger, at Tri-State Maintenance Solutions. He had a very special relationship with his grandchildren and father-in-law. Phil enjoyed spending time with them and was always when there when they needed him.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Heymann of Washington, Indiana; children, Clayton Heymann and Andrea (Robert) Criswell, both of Washington, Indiana; grandchildren, Isaac, Porter, and Beau; parents, Robert (Toni) Heymann of Florida and Beverly Chaffman of Florida; biological mother, Susan Accivatti; siblings, Mike (Carolyn) Heymann of Indianapolis, Indiana, Debbie (Brad) Verker of Michigan, Karen Holdridge of New York, Andrea (Allen) Brown of Washington, Indiana, Tami Santiago of Florida, Theresa (Andy) Poligo of Florida, Ron (Karyn) Tuscany of Arizona and Gary Tuscany of Illinois; father-in-law, Fred Wise of Washington, Indiana.
