Herschel Morris, 78, passed away tab 9:30 am on May 2, 2023 at Willow Manor Nursing Home. Herschel was born on March 6, 1945 and he is the son of Morgan and Ruby Belle (Harding) Morris.
Herschel had worked at Sievers Meat and Dollar General Store. Herschel also loved to sing, dance and decorate for Christmas. He also as a kid shined shoes and took great pride in that.
Survivors include his sister’s, Esther Holloway, Anna Carter, Blanche Joyner all of Vincennes; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Herschel is preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Ruby Belle Morris, and his siblings, Mary Catherine, John, Betty, Richard, Walter, Elmer, George, and Ruby Morris.
Friends may visit with Herschel’s family on Friday, May 19 from 10:30 am until the hour of the graveside service of 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery, 919 Willow St. Pastor Kenny Morris will officiate and Herschel will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery.
