The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced lane restrictions for State Road 145 near French Lick for bridge deck overlay work.
Beginning on or around May 15, crews will begin restricting traffic on State Road 145 over French Lick Creek, with traffic being restricted to one lane during construction.
A temporary traffic signal will be used to handle traffic flow.
The work will start on the northbound lanes with traffic utilizing southbound lanes. Once construction on the northbound lanes is completed, traffic flow will move to the northbound side as work on the south side of the bridge begins.
The construction will impose an 11-foot width restriction and is expected to finish by the end of May, depending on the weather.
INDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews during this time.
