Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center has been awarded an “A” Hospital Safety Grade by The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit dedicated to upholding patient safety standards in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
The grade celebrates the hospital’s commitment to protecting patients from preventable harm and errors, particularly during the height of the pandemic.
The Leapfrog Group assigns grades based on over 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries, and infections. E. Kyle Bennett, President and CEO of Memorial Hospital, praised his team for persevering through the pandemic and maintaining their focus on patient safety.
The Hospital Safety Grade is updated twice a year in the spring and fall.
