The Daviess County Family YMCA’s indoor swimming pool, known as the Gwaltney Aquatics Center, will be closed starting May 22 due to major ventilation repairs needed. The repairs are necessary to ensure a safe and healthy environment for members and the community. The YMCA hopes to reopen by July 6 or earlier. Members with a Daviess County Family YMCA membership can use other participating Y’s with the nationwide membership for free. The YMCA is accepting donations for the major pool renovation, which can be made on their website or by calling 812-254-4481. Updates on the renovation and closure will be provided as they become available.
