Mary L. Henry age 90, of Shoals, passed away June 25, 2023 at the Loogootee Nursing Center. She was born October 20, 1932 in Martin County to Delbert and Mamie (Jones) Emmons. She married John Robert Henry on December 6, 1952 and he preceded her in death on 1991.
Mary retired from Shoals Community School Corporation where she was a matron. She was a member of the Shoals Baptist Church. She loved her cats, crocheting, painting, art and puzzles.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Lee (Louise) Henry of Seymour and John Alan (Marylen) Henry of Gwynneville; two grandchildren, C.J. Qualkenbush and Lindsay Qualkenbush.
Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, two daughters, Rhonda Beth and Sandra Qualkenbush; one son, Charles William Henry; and two brothers, Rex Emmons, Clarence Emmons and Clifford Emmons.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with burial in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.
