US Highway 50 in Montgomery yesterday around 9:35 p.m. According to the police report, the fire was reported to be ongoing, with black smoke visible. Fortunately, no individuals were trapped or injured in the incident. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. The property was confirmed to be a house, and it was noted that a work truck on the property contained 100 gallons of diesel, potentially posing a hazard. Various firefighting crews and resources were deployed to the scene, including backup from Washington Township. Power to the residence was turned off, and Centerpoint was contacted for assistance. US Highway 50 was temporarily shut down to facilitate the firefighting operations.
