A personal injury accident occurred at the intersection of US Highway 50 and LTG Tony Jones Drive early yesterday. Medical Units were dispatched promptly, along with the Washington County Fire Department (WCFD) and several units from the Washington Police Department (WPD). The accident involved a collision between a car and a semi-truck, resulting in significant damage to the vehicles. The Westbound passenger car made a left turn into the path of an eastbound semi. Both drivers were transported to the ER from the scene. One individual sustained a hand injury and was bleeding, while the truck driver exhibited symptoms of discomfort and had difficulty speaking. Precautions were taken due to a fuel leak from the truck, and hazardous waste supervisor Angela Quast was present to oversee the handling of hazardous materials.
